"SPEAKERS OF THE HOUSE" Opening for BOB BALDWIN!!!

"SPEAKERS OF THE HOUSE" Opening for BOB BALDWIN!!!

Saturday, March 10, 2012
7-10pm
Hampton Inn White Plains/Tarrytown
200 W. Main Street
Elmsford,NY 10523

JustCandi Entertainment presents An Evening of New Urban Jazz Entertainment. Featuring...
Bob Baldwin & Friends!!! Hosted by WBLS' own Dr. BOB LEE!

Opening the show will be Hip Hop/Spoken Word Band "Speakers of the House"
“Speakers of the House” are a Westchester based duo led by Naa Akua (Yvette Quaye) and Mr. John (Marcus John) specializing in Hip Hop, Spoken Word, R&B, Jazz, Funk and Soul. “Speakers of the House” have dazzled crowds up and down the East Coast’s major venues including shows in New Jersey, Connecticut, Virginia, Delaware, Philadelphia, and numerous events throughout New York State and City. Backed by a live band & DJ “Speakers of the House” write for the right reasons. Submitting their will to the Maker of Heaven and Earth these two young performers combine the perfect blend of traditional Hip Hop sounds and New Age Spoken Word.

Mount Vernon, NY native Bob Baldwin is unquestionably an unsung hero when it comes to the Contemporary/Smooth Jazz genre. Having a lustrious and successful career spanning three decades, Baldwin has worked with a plethora of artists and headlined countless events. Baldwin has been running his own production company since 1997, and has released 5 records on 5 different labels since 2000 which 4 discs charted Billboard top 10 Contemporary Jazz.
His radio program "NewUrbanJazz Lounge w/ Bob Baldwin" is changing the sound of contemporary jazz in the midst of the debilitating hierarchy that is smooth jazz, which has lost over 15 stations in the last 18 months. The radio show covers contemporary jazz going back to the 70's, which helps secure it's legacy, but also brings to light new artists and fuses Urban and Brazilian flavors. It's the perfect fix for contemporary jazz fans.

"Speakers of the House" will be rocking a 45 minute set warming up the stage for Bob Baldwin and his musical friends. Doors open at 7:00pm!!!

Come and Enjoy a evening of quality music and live sounds!!!

Tickets: $30 in Advance ($40 at the show)
